I realize that the number of European countries is debatable. The first 48 in the name does not refer to ALL the European countries. Instead it simply means that I intend to go to 48 different European countries in as many months. For my own personal purposes, the above countries would each count toward my 48. This list is not meant to make any political statements or diminish the importance of different areas to the European community.

  1. Looks like a solid list. I notice that Turkey is not on your list, but I’m guessing you might go there anyway, yeah? Also Holy See meaning… Vatican City?

Which country do you expect to have the hardest time reaching?

    1. I got the list from the UN, I guess they don’t include Turkey. Also, I’ve already been there and definitely want to go back, but I guess it won’t count toward my 48. Yeah, I guess that’s the official name.

I think the hardest one will probably be one of the islands like Malta or Iceland.
